Family Express Train is one of the newest trains from Hanoi to Sapa and vice versa. Family Express Train Sapa offering cozy atmosphere and impressive decoration for your family train trip to Sapa. We have 2 types of cabins, the VIP 2 berth cabins (02 single beds) and the Deluxe 4 berth cabins (04 single beds) which can be set up like the VIP 2 berth cabins (called VIP 2 berth cabin type 2). All cabins are equipped with soft beds, blankets, amenities kits, fruits & biscuits, mineral water, and more drinks for the VIP cabins.

Train Timing

HANOI – SAPA (Overnight Train)

SP7: Depart Hanoi: 22:40 PM Arrive Lao Cai (Sapa): 06:25 AM (Next morning)

SAPA – HANOI (Day Train)

SP8: Depart Lao Cai (Sapa): 12:05 PM (Noon time) Arrive Hanoi: 19:40 PM (Same day)

BOOKING FORM

1. Use the booking form below to send us your booking.

2. We will reply you with your booking status within 6 hours. If our tickets are still available, we will send you the payment information.

3. After the payment is made on time, we will book the tickets and send you the train voucher through email.

4. You will save the voucher then exchange for the actual tickets at our ticket counter in Hanoi and Lao Cai railways station to check in our train. (We may also send you the actual electronic train tickets in some cases through email).

Departure Cabin / Tickets:
VIP cabins are private cabins (2 adults and 01 small child max). Deluxe 4 bed cabins are either shared or private. Only children who are under 5 years old AND sharing one bed with other members are free of charge. Children who are more than 5 years old or have own beds will be charged adult rates.
Shuttle Transfer (Lao Cai Train Station => Sapa)
Sapa town is 50 minutes driving from Lao Cai train station. Shuttle transfer between Lao Cai (Sapa) Train Station – Sapa Town Center & Vice Versa. Pick up at Lao Cai train station upon your train arrival, drop off at hotels inside Sapa town center. For places which are out of town, the surcharge will be applied upon our confirmation.
The address in Sapa that you want the shuttle transfer to drop you off. Can be advised later. Out-of-town surcharge will be applied for hotels which are not inside Sapa town.

RETURN (SAPA – HANOI)

Return Train from Sapa:
SP8 Train leaves at 12:05 Noon time arrives at 19:40 PM (Same day) – DAY TRAIN.

VIP cabins are private cabins (2 adults and 01 small child max). Deluxe 4 bed cabins are either shared or private. Only children who are under 5 years old AND sharing one bed with other members are free of charge. Children who are more than 5 years old or have own beds will be charged adult rates.
Shuttle Transfer (Sapa => Lao Cai Train Station)
Sapa town is 50 minutes driving from Lao Cai train station. Shuttle transfer between Lao Cai (Sapa) Train Station – Sapa Town Center & Vice Versa. Pick up at hotels in Sapa town center around 09:30 – 10:00 AM. For places which are out of town, the surcharge will be applied upon our confirmation.
The address in Sapa town that you want the shuttle transfer to pick you up for going to the train station. Can be advised later. Out-of-town surcharge will be applied for hotels which are not inside Sapa town.

  • This is NOT instant availability so you should book the tickets in advance. We are not responsible for the unavailability of tickets for the last minute bookings.
  • We will email you within 6 hours so if you do not receive our email within 6 hours regarding your booking status, please email us at info@familyexpresstrainsapa.com
  • For the 2 berth cabin, it is private cabin so you will have your own cabin. For the 4 berth cabin, if you have less than 4 people but want to book / pay for the entire 4 berth cabin, please choose the “Number of Passengers” is 4 and mention in the booking form so we will arrange one private cabin for your group only.
  • Free of charge for children under 5 year old sharing parent‘s existing berths and shorter than 1 meter.
  • Our prices do not include the transfers from / to your hotel in Hanoi to / from Hanoi train station or from / to Lao Cai railways station to / from your hotel in Sapa. The prices are for train ride from Hanoi railways station to Lao Cai railways station or vice versa.

CANCELLATION POLICIES & CHARGES:
All cancellation must be informed in writing by email (NOT phone) and the cancellation charges as follows:

  • More than 30 days prior to departure date: 30% charge
  • 16 – 30 days prior to departure date: 50% charge. 
  • 7 – 15 days prior to departure date: 70% charge
  • Within 7 days prior to departure date: 100% charge.
  • All payment fees on your side.
